this is probably a good time to thank you for checking out my website. this is pretty long, so
i'm going to boldface the information that you might want to read if you're here on business. if you're here on pleasure, read away...

i was born scott william haskitt in toledo ohio on october 15, 1977 at 3:47 in the morning. i was a pretty long baby, and to this day
i remain longer (laying down) than most humans at 74 inches. i have on average about 2 1/2 pounds per every inch i have in length. i have always been just a bit insecure about being tall because i felt i was very conspicuous... i always thought that had something to do with me starting in music, because i could hide out and practice a lot of the time. i like people, but they used to make me a bit nervous. still do sometimes, given the right people and situation... most people say that's normal and for the most part i believe them.

i sing, play guitar, drums and a little bit of piano. i started out playing drums at about 8 years old, guitar at 13 and singing... well, everyone sings from a young age, but i started wondering if i could be any good at it when i was about 14 or so.
my heart is in singing and writing songs, but i've been lucky enough to play drums for bands such as THE CHURCHILLS, andrew holtz, nancy micciulla, the gangplansisteele quartet, dawnbringer and marie spearing.

88.5 WXPN in philadelphia has been playing ‘new city home' off of my newest release (latitudes and local time - ep), which was a big step for me. that song is also featured on the DB Nyce show in south jerseys 92.1 WVLT.

sparks on the delaware, a song off of my ep was featured on the millenium music conference (harrisburg) in 2003. i also showcased at the firehouse during that conference. sparks on the delaware is currently in the second round of reviews on garageband.com. it's ranking  peaked this may at 65th out of 3000 songs. i'm currently playing drums for the churchills out of new york city. i toured germany with them in the summer of 2003 when their guitarist couldn't do the whole tour out there. then, after they toured japan, their drummer left we all decided that i should be their new drummer. it was a cool time, and now we're really working well together.  my solo stuff is very important to me, but the churchills are a great band and we have a lot of fun working together.

i play music because i like the feeling of creating something out of what i've experienced. even if it's fictional, it's still made from my experience. it might only be fictional because i'm too attached to the experience to write about it in literal terms. mostly, i just write about the ongoing problem of commuincation that is typical in both platonic and romantic relationships (mine anyway). lately actually, i've been writing a lot about leaving, coming back, mistakes, hope, fear and personal mumbo jumbo like that.

i like movies. a lot. i wish i knew more movies than i do, but i think i've seen some very good movies. a few of my favorites are shawshank redemption, the english patient, the lord of the rings (both, really), the big lebowski, the ninth gate, amelie and mumford, whale rider, rivers and tides and american splendor. i can't tell if i have a slight crush on hope davis or if i just really respect her for how well she can act. maybe they're the same thing. who knows.
