| wednesday, may 7 - dusseldorf best gig of the tour for me last night. i had all sorts of amp trouble in soundcheck... fixed it with help from ron/bart. after it was fixed, i had about 10 minutes to collect myself before we played. really stressful having problems that close to starting time. missed home for those 10 minutes, ron told me karen fell down some stairs in nyc, hurt kinda bad... alex was having some home missing issues too... made for a really emotional show, and for the first time this tour, i didn't make any mistakes. oh yeah... talked to ron in the car and they might want me to play drums for them after japan... more on that later. much history. we picked up olli in dierdorf yesterday. he's our new driver. huge guy... mid 30's, total punkrock guy. we switched vans... sad to se the other one go, but this one is bigger and has a bunk that sleeps 2. our hotel situation is bad from here on out, so it's good. uncle ho plugged my site at the show last night, and gave me some pretty nice compliments in german... but then made fun of me a little bit in german as i waved unknowingly... the crowd thought it was pretty funny. HA. ha. yeah. |
