So, I played my last show with The Churchills last Saturday night (April 29). We had a great last tour together... had talked about me leaving about a month and a half previous to that. We've worked with a new drummer since then. I don't know if it's final yet, so I won't speak his name. Or, write it. :) Regardless, he's an amazing drummer, an equally amazing guy and will be great for the band.
It's something I've been thinking about for a while, but really wanted to give it everything I had for as long as I possibly could. They're great guys and I'm really going to miss playing with them and working with them. I just needed to focus my time and energy on what's been happening in my life for the past 3 years. A big part is the 30 + songs I've written since and haven't recorded. I guess I've written more than that, but it's about 30 or so that seem to be destined to something other than the trash bin on my computer.
Anyway, I'm spending time booking, doing myspace music page "work" (yeesh... time eater) and trying to narrow down the tracklist for the new album. I am tentatively doing one full length and one 5 or 6 song acoustic EP, both under my name but with my friend John Mondick and some other friends and people I've met the past few years. I'll leave with that run-on sentence... have to go send out some cds. Thanks for reading and hope to see you soon!!
